British Archaeological Association

General Information: The association was founded for the study of archaeology, art and architecture, and also to promote the preservation of monuments and antiquities. It encourages research, organises conferences and publishes new works on history of architecture and art of Roman to post-medieval date. It has a particular interest in the art, architecture and archaeology of the Middle Ages, particularly Britain. The association holds monthly lectures in London, annual conferences and occasional study days.


Location: Burlington House, Piccadilly


Cost: £20 student membership, £43 ordinary member – membership cost includes attendance at lectures, receipt of annual journal, attendance at annual conferences, study days and bi-annual Romanesque conference, preferential prices on publication and access to Library at Burlington House!
